In a city known for its towering skyscrapers and jam-packed streets, this month CNNGo explores the other side of Hong Kong, taking viewers past the Peak and beyond Nathan Road. A diverse cast of characters shows us the way.

A talented film director sets her sights on an island outpost that was once used to ward off would be attackers. A dynamic young tattoo artist shows us how to get from the middle of a heaving shopping mecca and onto a pile of rocks in the middle of Victoria Harbour, in a matter of minutes.

Speaking of rocks, rockers-of-the-moment Chochukmo welcome us to their hidden rehearsal space. We hit some staggeringly beautiful beaches - yes, in Hong Kong - with a veteran Gweilo actor, and we sample some legendary cuisines with a noted food critic. We even duck into the wheelhouse of the Star Ferry and knock on the door of a haunted house - smack in the middle of the city.

That and more, this month on CNNGo.
