• All expenses paid trip to the Conference, including one return economy airfare from the airport located in the metropolitan city closest to the winner’s place of residence to the Conference; and three nights’ accommodation at a hotel selected by the contest organizer.

The second best valid entry in each category will win:

• A Nokia N series phone, citation and a trophy.

• The title 'CNN Aspiring Journalist of the Year', a trophy & citation;

The winner of the Television category will receive an internship with CNN-IBN, either in New Delhi or Mumbai, for one month between March and July 2008, at such times as may be mutually agreed.

The winner of the Print category will receive an internship with Outlook magazine, either in New Delhi or Mumbai, for one month between March and July 2008, at such times as may be mutually agreed.

Travel and accommodation shall be the responsibility of each winner and neither the contest organizer nor any sponsor shall bear any such costs.

The best valid entry will win:

• The title 'CNN Citizen Journalist of the Year', a trophy & citation;
• A digital camera and Indian Rupees 20,000 in cash

The best and valid entry will win:

• The title 'CNN Photo Journalist of the Year', a trophy & citation;
• A digital SLR camera. (at the sole discretion of the contest organizer)

The best and valid entry in each category will win:
